The T20 are the 2.0 type of speakers that do not have a sub woofer but have just two separate speaker units. They can be primarily used as desktop speakers due to their functionality and if the user is not satisfied with the sound quality of the speakers of the laptop or monitor in case of a desktop. These are quite basic with respect to the features but are good at them and satisfactory enough for those who need to enhance the audio experience a bit. They are in no way professional speakers though, and are good to fill up an average sized room.
Though the speaker set does not include a sub woofer, the sound quality is in no way inferior as the unit is designed very efficiently. The bass and treble can be controlled individually making it a really attractive set for the price. The mids and highs are satisfactory enough too with a nice balance. The sound is not tinny like what is seen in most of the basic speaker systems. The setup of the speakers is also very easy as there are not too many wires involved. The length of the wires is sufficient on an average basis, they are strong and are easy to connect. The overall look of the speakers is attractive enough due to the care taken in designing the exterior. The build quality is good and makes use of quality materials.
The auxiliary input and the headphone jack are placed at the front of the speakers making it easy to access them whenever needed. The AC adaptor of the speakers is like that of a laptop with detachable lead cable thereby allowing the user to locate it more conveniently without occupying the power strip. The size of the units is convenient to place them on the computer desk with ease even if the user has very limited space. The bass response is good and the sound is clear at all levels when compared to similar models and it is the best option to go with this system for a slightly higher price if the user is thinking about L10. The speakers do not have a booming bass which can be quite disturbing and hence they are suitable even for the office environment. The speakers are capable of producing satisfactory results with a decent sound card.
The bass port on the top of the speakers seems to attract dust and care has to be taken in order to avoid it entering the inside of the speakers which can thereby affect the sound quality. There is a bright blue LED on the right speaker that glows when the unit is turned on and this light is too bright and annoying to the user. Voices tend to seem nasal a few times which is obviously another disadvantage. The slim design of the speakers makes it easy for them to tip over when the table is bumped accidentally.
The speakers are therefore nice units for basic use though they may not appeal to audiophiles.
