However, it is all well and being boasting of the laptop’s design and appearance, but what can this laptop actually do that stands it apart from others on the market? 3D games such as Call Of Duty 4 and Unreal Tournament can be played without problem and to the highest efficiency; speed and power are not going to be a problem here with Apple’s implementation of 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duos CPU, the 2 gig of 1066MHz DDR3 Ram and NVIDIA 320M graphics with 256Mb of DDR3 memory. Other software including movie making programmes and Photoshop can be run just as easily.

Concerns for the environment have also made the MacBook MC516LL/A a popular choice for people deciding which laptop to invest in. The hardware used by Apple is energy efficient and, perhaps more importantly, no toxic chemicals of any kind have been used in its manufacture. Furthermore, Apple can be seen to have made a step up from rivals such as Windows in regard to battery life. The longer lasting ability of the Apple Macbook is an undeniably huge advantage and, in gaining a step towards dominating the laptop market, will be crucially important in the future.

It does seem however, that Apple may still be able to make a few small improvements despite having seemingly gone all out to impress. With the norm in today’s market including the use of a 500GB hard drive, it is slightly disappointing to see the Apple MacBook using only a 250GB hard drive. One other niggling problem and possible obstacle is the price of the Apple’s product. Compared with, say, Windows’ laptops, the Apple Macbook is available to buyers at a higher price. The superior technical ability may ultimately account for this but may prove a stumbling block for many people. If the budget is there for an Apple Macbook, there are certainly enough advantages to recommend the MacBook MC516LL/A.

With waves upon waves of Bluetooth headsets already on the market, it can be difficult to know which one to spend money on. So, with the emphasis here on the Jawbone Icon “The Thinker” Bluetooth Headset, what can this Headset offer that stands it apart from the others? This headset is the smallest Jawbone model available but is just as comfortable and easy to wear. Many users have expressed their love of this particular model, commenting not only on its simplicity to use but also its durability as well.

A favourite new feature has been the addition of an on/off button. The device can be switched on simply and eliminates the need to hold the switch down for a long period of time to turn it off. The old way of switching the device on and off meant that sometimes the set was left on accidentally and thus wearing out the power. This is reversed here however.

For people who talk for long periods of time but want the use of both hands will love this new Jawbone design. With a host of new features, this is definitely a Bluetooth headset that stands apart from the rest.

Because of this Ipod Shuffle's small and pocket-handy design, your workout can now be completed to the sounds of your favourite songs. However, despite the pocket size and its ability to be used almost everywhere, be it indoors or out, the Apple Ipod Shuffe has attracted a lot of criticism. It may be argued that most products in today’s markets have their flaws, and this Ipod indeed has, but Apple has nevertheless managed to keep this product extremely competitive with other such devices. No doubt the first positive aspect to mention would be its ability to be taken almost everywhere. While you’re exercising, walking your dog or simply sitting around the house or on a journey somewhere, the Ipod can be used to listen to whatever music downloaded to the device.

Other positive aspects include the user friendly way of downloading and categorizing music on the device. This is something Apple has really made beneficial to its buyers; the music can easily be transferred from a computer using the Itunes software and, in a matter of seconds, can be played through the Ipod’s earphones. If the user does not wish to place all of his music collection on to the device or prefers specific songs, then this can be done by an easy drag and drop of songs included in the user’s ITunes. Furthermore, any music transferred to the Ipod is automatically categorized depending on such aspects as genre and artists etc. The earphones themselves allow music to be clearly heard and are, overall, a really good quality way of listening to whatever music the user enjoys.

Though the headphones play music to a very high quality, the functionality of the headphones may be slightly disappointing to some people. For example, where, on the one hand the headphones have easy to use buttons for the playing, pausing and skipping of songs, the phones themselves are rather sensitive to sweat. This is a disappointing aspect of this Ipod as it was designed to be the most beneficial to those who want to listen to music during workouts. Other niggling problems include the comfort of using the earphones. In the past, users of the device have commented on the problem of keeping the earphones in the ear during exercise. The life of the battery is another one of those issues that may have been designed a little better as well. Earlier Ipod Shuffles tended to feature a longer battery life and were quicker to charge up again.

 Despite the flaws, the Ipod Shuffle is still a handy and easy to use product popular with many people. One cannot feel though, that Apple may have let itself down a little here though, especially in regard to the comfort and functionality of the earphones. To appeal to even more of the public, one may feel that Apple has to resolve these niggling aspects to completely dominate the market.
